  • We had a very nice experience at Gambrinus.

  • We happened to meet a local tour guide (Roger Clavell, 37 years as a guide) who recommended Gambrinus for lunch (in particular the specials listed for 'Business lunch')....Home made soup for my wife and a delicious salad for me preceded the meal, together with a very tasty toasted bread basket....location/setting, service, ambience, perfect food and fine wine.
  • They also have a large selection of desserts ($7-$8 CDN) and coffee....We both agreed it was the best French Onion soup we had ever had.
  • I had a seafood pasta and she had a fillet of sole, both wonderfully prepared and portioned.

  • They have excellent service, and a classical guitarist/vocalist that is entertaining without being intrusive.

  • It has a warm quiet romantic atmosphere, with a split-level floor plan in an old stone building....My wife had their Seafood Linguine Alsatian Style and she loved it.
